Whether it’s 10 below zero or a chilly 40 degrees, staying warm is important. But you should never have to sacrifice being warm for being stylish. Comfortable and durability are also important—with Canada Goose and Carhartt, you know you’ll get both.

Canada Goose has made high quality and durable parkas and vests for over 50 years. And like the name says, it’s made in Canada. It’s been rumored that their gear has been used on Arctic expeditions and by scientists holed up in labs in Antarctica and other extremely cold points on the globe. The Canada Goose line feature fur trimmed parkas collars and insulated downs. One of their most popular jackets is the Canada Goose Expedition Parka —this jacket will get you through any kind of extreme weather—it’s mid thigh length, heavy duty and water repellent. It comes in red or black (and you’ll probably want both) and will fit almost any man in sizes extra small through extra large. And with tons of pockets, you’re ready for any adventure.

Carhartt was originally created for railroad workers and has stood the test of time for over 120 years. Plus, it’s extremely rugged, durable and built to last. It’s water repellant, so it will keep you dry in rain, sleet or light snow. Do a fleece underneath and you are ready for truly extreme weather. It comes in black, bluestone and dark brown—neutral colors that work with any shirt, pants or shoes. Sizes run from small through XXL.

And women get cold, too. In the 21st century women are joining men in rugged outdoor jobs. Even if you’re a city dweller scurrying to an office job in a highrise or working as a bartender on the eastside, you need to stay warm on those chilly nights. Carthartt’s Waterproof Jacket is the logical choice. It works well with jeans and a tee or an all black ensemble in either black or loden, which is an army green color. It’s cute and rugged and super stylish with a hood you can remove when you want to dress it up a bit more. You may find that this jacket is an integral staple in your fall and winter wardrobe and the only jacket that you find yourself reaching for.

I was a little nervous when I bought the woman's Carhartt Waterproof Jacket that it wouldn't keep me both warm and dry. But, after the first rain fall this jacket kept me both warm and dry.
